ALPHA BUILD

Download the Windows Setup installer directly from the official SDG Game Universe GitHub release.

Alpha build. This is an early testing release, so features may change and bugs may still be present. The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows may display a security warning. Back up important saves and data before testing.

1. Click Download Windows Alpha below.
2. Run the downloaded SDG Game Universe Setup .exe.
3. Follow the installer prompts, then launch SDG Game Universe from the created shortcut.

Steam Deck — Coming Soon

Steam Deck support is being prepared and will be added here when it is ready.

Coming soon. There is no Steam Deck download available yet.

Games are not included. SDG Gaming Universe does not distribute ROMs, commercial game data, store clients, account data, Nintendo keys or firmware. Updates are designed to preserve local configuration, emulator settings, saves, backups, artwork choices and your ROM library.

NFC Dock Build Pack — A$5

Turn SDG Gaming Universe's NFC support into a physical cartridge experience with the updated dock and floppy-style cartridge design.

Hardware project coming soon. The optional NFC cartridge dock, printable parts and build documentation are still being finalised and tested. The build pack is not yet available for purchase or download. Full parts, printing, assembly and setup instructions will be added here when it is ready.

The latest black 3D-printed dock uses a wide front cartridge slot and centered front button. The floppy-style cartridges can carry custom labels and an NFC tag linked to a game.

What you need to know.

Is SDG Gaming Universe free?

Yes. The main software is intended as a free download. The optional NFC dock build pack is a separate paid digital product.

Is the Windows download an alpha build?

Yes. The Windows download is currently an alpha build intended for early testing. Features may change and bugs may still be present. The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows may display a security warning. Back up important saves and data before testing.

Was this previously called SaveBridge?

Yes. Some existing install and data folders may still use SaveBridge internally so upgrades preserve existing settings, saves and update identities.

Which PC launchers can it detect?

SDG Gaming Universe detects and launches installed Steam, Epic Games, GOG Galaxy and Amazon Games titles directly.
